Privacy, briefly.

This policy explains what PDFVault collects, why, and how to have it removed. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal data.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, phone number (optional), purchased titles, amounts and timestamps.
• Payment references: the payment gateway's order and payment identifiers, so we can reconcile and refund orders.
• Download logs: when a download link is used, with IP address and browser user-agent, to enforce download limits and prevent abuse.
• Messages: anything you send through the contact form or by email.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
• Session cookie: a single functional cookie that keeps your cart and sign-in state between pages. It is httpOnly and expires after 30 days.

What we do not collect

No card numbers, no CVV, no bank credentials. Payment details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure checkout and never reach our servers. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

Why we use it

• To process orders, deliver files and send receipts.
• To provide support and handle refunds or disputes.
• To prevent fraud, link-sharing and abuse of download limits.
• To send newsletter emails, only if you opted in.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us operate: our payment gateway (Razorpay), our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider. They receive only what is necessary to perform their function. We may disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law. Download logs are kept for up to 24 months. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Write to hello@pdfvault.in from the email address associated with your order. Some records may need to be retained for legal reasons.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie for your session (cart and library sign-in) and a small browser storage entry for your light/dark theme preference. No advertising cookies. Clearing your browser storage will sign you out and empty your cart.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, files are stored outside the public web root, and download links are unguessable, expiring and limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

Children

The store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
